The Blankinship Ranch is a 1,556.36 +/- acre ranch in Washington state located approximately 15 air miles southwest of Clarkston in Asotin County and 13 air miles southeast of Pomeroy in Garfield County. The ranch is situated about 4 miles northeasterly of the Umatilla National Forest boundary with all-purpose legal access from Peola Road, which is a paved state route providing access to the 1.4 million-acre national forest in southeast Washington and northeast Oregon.
For nearly 4 miles, the ranch spans the narrow v-shaped canyon formed by Blankinship Gulch with gentle rolling terrain on and along the ridges before descending down the steep slopes of the gulch. The elevation ranges from more than 3,800 feet near the west boundary to less than 2,600 feet along the gulch on the south boundary.
Peola Road weaves along Pleasant Ridge from Clarkston with long panoramic vistas in all directions with views of the Craig Mountains to the east, Moscow Mountain to the north, and the Blue Mountains to the southwest.
The ranch is a working cattle ranch with fall and spring pasture. Owner pastures about 90 head of cattle in the fall and spring. Ranch improvements include a farmstead with old home, hay barn, outbuildings, and corrals. In addition to deeded ground, ranch includes state and federal grazing lease as well as ground in CRP. Domestic and stock-water is supplied from well.
Ranch has recreational appeal for hunting with sizable population of mule deer and some whitetail deer. Also, there is good upland bird habitat.
